and the combined human+alien campaign wr for that game is literally free because not a single person has run it, like i could take 7 hours and i would still be in first place but i literally cant beat it so GUHHH
plus the second game does still have a lot of unrun stuff, it has individual level speedruns for all 30 levels and there are only 4 runs total and two of them are on the same level, plus the alien+human campaign on that is also unrun (for some reason it doesnt have a solo alien campaign which is weird) so i could sweep that
oh and also in the individual level speedruns they have an any% run where you can use any weapons you want and an any% default run where you use the default starting guns so there are actually about SIXTY wrs i could theoretically get there (although its not like i would just submit crap runs to submit i would get as low a time as i could obviously)
wait apparently there is a glitch that lets you get all weapons instantly :< awhh man, i kinda wanted to actually route and since the game doesnt have a glitched/glitchless catagory split its kinda needed, gruh
i just watched the start of the wr speedrun, seemingly they start the game, instaly go into options, set it to low, and then just, buy all the weapons and never lose any money?? how what
i checked his youtube upload of the run and he explains it, if you right click on a weapon and then left click on the default weapon in a catagory it just, gives you it? and i tired it myself and it works too
slowest run on record is 45 minutes, i think ill do a practice run unrecorded because im not getting a good run first try (and i dont want to bother restarting my computer so obs can record without slowing everything down to a crawl) and see how realistic grabbing some decent upgrades mid run is i guess
okay test run done and had i recorded it i would be solidly in last place on the leaderboard, i know a chunk of time was lost just because the game was slowing down immensely but it looks like there is a lot to improve on
